D03 – LACE INSPIRES

Everything you need to understand right away. We explore a little to understand the context in which lace evolved and how to get inspired. We rummaged so deep in the depths of the internet but also through fairs and museums, that we managed to find things that are not even in books.

I will explain to you together with Alina, as I also learned, in stages. So:

In the fierce competition with industrial lace, needle lace can still survive on our shirts and in our outfits. We made it easy for you to navigate between a world of resources. Browsing through historic fashion, we ought to know how lace was used before looking towards how we can create it and use it in the future. Let’s recognize and restore its value!
