Stripes and lines are information, a language of nature, of trees and animals. We also use lines and we use needle & thread in order to encode information, store knowledge, express identity and social status. When the information became too complex, we created artificial memory and eyes to handle it and we became IT specialists.
SEMNE CUSUTE (sewn signs) are a visual universal language inspired by the universe and used by women who depicted their vision of the world and their place in it. The power of this heritage consists in the repetition of very simple gestures, but with high meaning, as it once took place at the beginning of the world. Sky, earth, rivers and forests are set in the right order, populated with birds, stars and energy. The symbols below: guidance, expansion, vision, light & order, soul & freedom, femininity, masculinity, plenty, couple, balance, opposites attract, fertility, wisdom, regeneration, energy, ephemeral – are a visual alphabet of ancient emoticons.
